I endeavour to create a space that allows for reflection on the broader social world, as well the specificity of a person’s unique, lived experience and patterns of mind.
Exploring new ways to understand ourselves is different for everyone and my practice reflects that. The conversation can take many forms but often includes speaking about the ‘day to day’ as well as longstanding relationships and ways of being.
My theoretical interest is in the unconscious, contemporary psychoanalysis, critical theory and philosophy. Dreams can be a very helpful way to understand parts of ourselves that are usually out of reach.
I work with the mind&body holistically and have a particular interest in people with unexplained physical symptoms.
I am thoughtful around the important issues of gender, class, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. The specific social complexities of communities in Cornwall are an important part of my work. I moved to Cornwall in 2016, previously living and working in London in the music and film business.
I am currently in a postgraduate training group with the Cornwall based organisation SSCP (Society for Social and Critical Psychoanalysis), members of the accredited psychotherapy body UKCP.
I work with individuals and couples. My work primarily takes place in person but online work is possible when required.
